Can you please share a little bit about your experience with Dementia Friendly Nevada?
The voices and faces of Washoe County residents desiring to and making progress toward a more dementia-friendly community inspire me. When the opportunity arose to help facilitate these efforts, I wanted to be a part!

How has your volunteer service with Dementia Friendly Nevada impacted your life?
I desire to partner with people living with dementia and other community partners to increase understanding of Alzheimer’s and other related dementias and to create a more inclusive, accessible, and safe space for all Nevadans to live, work, and play.

What do you wish others knew about volunteering for Dementia Friendly Nevada?
Volunteering for Dementia Friendly Nevada is a meaningful way to invest in our communities. By partnering with our neighbors living with dementia and their loved ones, we can identify gaps, contemplate creative solutions, and serve as change agents.

What are you thankful for in your life?
I am thankful for my family’s unconditional love and my friends’ joy and laughter. Opportunities to learn, grow, also cultivate deep gratitude in my life.

What are a few of your favorite things to do in your free time?
The Sierras bring beauty into my daily life. I enjoy learning about the different vistas they offer through the lens of my husband’s camera and other local landscape photographers.
