We’ve got some famous members here at Dementia Friendly Nevada!
Four Dementia Friendly Nevada members were recently featured in the “Let’s Reimagine!” video produced by the international Reimagining Dementia coalition. Nancy Nelson, Kat Hartley, Jennifer Carson, and Casey Acklin all supported the collaborative development of the video, with brought people living with dementia, family care partners, professionals, and community members from across the globe together into discussions about how best to promote Reimagining Dementia’s mission of inclusion through a captivating multimedia experience.
The video–which accompanies a thought-provoking song with lead vocals and solos by people living with dementia–marks the beginning of a campaign to encourage the world to reimagine dementia and dream big about how communities can welcome people living with dementia as active citizens.
