Marc is currently a second-year Masters of Public Health student with a focus on Health Administration at the University of Nevada, Reno. He previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley in 2022. A personal as well as a professional connection via direct patient care fueled his desire to work with the DEER Program in creating communities that are educated, respectful, and inclusive of people living with dementia and their carepartners. Once he graduates in the spring of 2024, he aims to apply his experience working with the DEER Program to a career in medicine. He believes that advocacy is an integral part of a healthcare professional’s role, and contributes greatly to a more compassionate and understanding community for everyone.
